Construction Superintendent (Mixed Use/Multi-family)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent with extensive ground-up commercial mixed-use experience. This role involves supervising and managing a wide range of construction project trades, specifications, details, and reports, with a strong emphasis on quality control from preconstruction to project completion. The Superintendent will organize and oversee all construction trades to ensure timely and efficient completion according to the provided plans, specs, scopes, and schedules. The primary focus will be on multifamily new construction, including both renovation and ground-up projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage construction project trades, specifications, and details.
  • Focus on quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Organize and oversee construction trades to ensure timely and efficient completion.
  • Ensure adherence to plans, specs, scopes, and schedules.
  • Perform takeoffs, jobsite layouts, and QAQC checks.
  • Manage conflicts effectively and assertively.
Essential Skills
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction superintendent experience.
  • Ground-up construction experience.
  • Ability to read and analyze plans, specs, scopes, and sub proposals.
  • OSHA certification.
  • Clear driver's license.
  • Ownership of a personal vehicle.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Multi-family construction experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with metal building (PEMB) is a plus.
  • Heavy equipment operator certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in scheduling with ProCore.
  • Experience in senior living, mixed-use, multi-purpose, and multi-family projects.
Work Environment

The position involves spending 90% of the time on the job site in Ecorse, MI, with the office located in Troy, MI. The candidate will drive their own vehicle to the site.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $50.00/hr.
