Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a proactive Electrical Engineer to support the design, integration, and validation of electrical systems across transportation devices. This role combines traditional electrical engineering design and architecture with real-world implementation, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enjoys working on power systems, sensors, and embedded hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, reliable systems using industry-standard patterns and practices.
• Replace and integrate power components in delivery vans, assessing system-level impact.
• Implement off-the-shelf modules, harnessing, and wiring solutions.
• Perform hands-on wiring from power supplies to end devices.
• Validate and troubleshoot sensors and sensor activation systems on devices and vehicles.
• Support charging infrastructure and power management systems for electric vans.
• Interpret and update electrical schematics and documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, firmware/software engineers, and mechanical teams to bring up and test new hardware designs.
• Work across multiple device platforms beyond vans, including lab and field environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
• 5+ years of experience in a hardware development, test lab, or hands-on engineering environment.
• Experience operating test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, thermal chambers, load cells, and data acquisition systems.

• Preferably experience in research and development with hands-on experience in prototype testing and development.

The role requires working on-site for 5 days a week in Bellevue, WA. This position offers the opportunity to be part of new technology creation and may evolve into a full-time opportunity.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
