JMCs Roofing Project Manager Assistant supports the Project Manager with administrative and technical tasks to ensure roofing projects run smoothly. This includes tasks such as coordinating with customers, assisting with project planning and implementation, managing project tasks and deliverables, and tracking project progress. The Project Manager Assistant also handles administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, drafting documents like invoices and estimates. In addition, the Project Manager Assistant is responsible for the operation and organization of company yard operations including fleet. Plans, organizes and documents the delivery and issuing of job site materials, supplies, and equipment. Maintains, schedules and documents periodic maintenance of company vehicles and equipment. Stocks and organizes company equipment, tools and materials.
Duties of our Project Manager Assistant:
1. Schedule meetings, prepare documents (invoices, estimates, reports), manage project files and documentation, and handle correspondence.
2. Assist in planning and implementing roofing projects, coordinate tasks and deliverables, and track project progress.
3. Coordinate with project stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, etc.) regarding project details, updates, and changes.
4. Analyze data related to the project, such as cost data, schedule data, and performance data.
5. Help manage project resources, including materials, equipment, and crew members.
6. Assist in the ordering materials and equipment required at job sites, load and unload roofing materials at job sites and assist with yard tasks such as material relocation, cleaning, and organizing.
7. Maintain equipment inventories.
8. Document and maintain accurate inventory control records in accordance with company procedures and policies.
9. Document and maintain periodic maintenance service schedules for company vehicles and equipment.
10. Log and maintain accurate serial numbers and the location for all SMI equipment.
11. Service/repair equipment as submitted.
12. Maintain and check fluid levels and air pressure in company vehicles. Ensure vehicles are operable. Inspect and report any damages to Project Manager.
13. Prefer OSHA 10.

1. Must be knowledgeable about construction methods, materials, and regulations to be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
2. Self-starter who is decisive and works collaboratively under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
3. Ability to multi-task without impacting attention to detail or quality of the final product with a demonstrated ability to coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems.
4. Attention to detail with quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
5. Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize large workloads.
6. Reading skills with the ability to make sense of project plans to generate an estimate that is detailed and well qualified.
7. Demonstrated ability of establishing a good working relationship with many different people, including owner, managers, and co-workers.
Position Requirements
1. Familiarity with roofing systems, materials, and construction processes.
2. Manage multiple tasks, prioritizing work, and keeping track of project details.
3. Clearly communicating with stakeholders, both written and verbal. Familiarity with project management software, construction documentation, and data analysis.
4. Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
1. BODY POSITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time. He/she may also be required to stand and/or walk for long periods of time while completing other duties and responsibilities. He/she will also be required to talk and/or listen for prolonged periods of time, both on the telephone and/or face to face.
2 BODY MOVEMENTS: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of his/her hands to finger, handle, and feel objects such as computer equipment and reports. The ability to bend the body, to reach for objects, and to stoop, kneel, or crouch, crawl, climb or balance when needed are also required.
2. BODY SENSES: The employee must have command of all five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. These vision requirements in each area must be sufficient for example to shift in focus from computer screens to close forms.
3. STRENGTH: The employee must have the ability to lift up to 40 pounds on occasion.
4. OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Evening and/or early morning and/or weekend work may be required on an intermittent basis.
