Job Duties :

Plan, direct, or coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.

Work on commercial construction projects within DPRs core markets. Participate and apply the Environmental Health and Safety Plan to constantly maintain injury-free environments including performing weekly safety audits. Understand and enforce contracts with subcontractors and owners. Assist the superintendent and project manager in the implementation of policies and project execution. Organize the duties of other engineers, field office coordinator, project accountant and other assigned project staff. Provide direction, prioritization, and performance feedback. Organize and electronically archive project files for easy access by the team. Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules. Work with the superintendent to reduce project constraints impact on the schedule. Prepare, maintain, and implement various document control entities such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as-builts, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs. Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to all affected parties. Identify, assemble, negotiate, and distribute change orders to both the owner and subcontractors. Prepare agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for various meetings. Participate in project cost control. Prepare owner billing by assembling costs, receiving and reviewing subcontractor invoices, and organizing the documents in accordance with the owners requirements. Monitor testing and inspection record and reports, safety inspection and accident logs and reports, record building permit inspections and sign-offs. Participate in trainings and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth.

Minimum education/experience requirements: Masters degree in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management/Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a commercial construction-related occupation.

Skill Requirements:

Position requires at least 2 years of experience in each of the following skills:

Utilize Bluebeam and AutoCAD for precise project estimation and preconstruction planning. Work on integrating software tools for detailed takeoffs and cost projections. Communicate with responsible parties for accurate pricing and cost analysis. Documentation - Accurately document reports, RFIs, submittals, drawings, specifications, invoices, safety plans, audits, daily and weekly reports, operation manuals, warranties, and guarantees. Ensure all documents are submitted on time and organized systematically. Use tools like Bluebeam and AutoCAD for efficient documentation to maintain a clear project record, facilitating cost and time savings while also updating and reviewing documents weekly. Identify issues and make informed decisions using detailed understanding of construction project drawings; Contribute during drawing reviews and coordination meetings to reduce rework and cost overruns. Establish industry standards in all design decisions with regular collaboration and communication with design engineers using knowledge of technical details behind engineering designs. Contribute to design review meetings and technical discussions at key project milestones. Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols and conduct safety inspections on Hammertech to protect the health and safety of all site personnel.

Position also requires at least some experience in each of the following skills:

Procurement: Maintain detailed procurement logs to ensure timely procurement of materials. Achieve on-time procurement of critical materials by reviewing and updating procurement logs weekly. Using procurement logs to track and manage orders and prevent project delays due to material shortages. Cost Forecasting and Scheduling: Conduct cost forecasting and scheduling using Excel and Smartsheets. Regularly update and review forecasts and schedules with the team. Helps in financial planning and performing monthly cost reviews. Modelling for Design and Construction: Employ AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks for creating detailed models. Produce models with an accurate design specification. Regularly update models to reflect design changes as well as construction progress and improve visualization and coordination, Quality Control Using Software Tools: Utilize Plangrid/ACC Build software for quality control to ensure project standards are met. Implement regular quality checks using dedicated quality control software and ensure construction quality and compliance with design specifications. Conduct quality control reviews bi-weekly and update ACC Build/PlanGrid accordingly Project Management: Use Procore and ACC Build for comprehensive project management. Implement these tools to manage tasks, documents, and communication. Ensures streamlined project execution and accountability. Conduct weekly progress reviews and adjust plans as needed.
