Job Duties :
Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines. Prepare and submit budget and Hard bid estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
Work on large-scale construction projects within all core market of DPR Construction such as Commercial, Higher Education, Healthcare, Advance Technology and Life science (projects with budgets of $5 million - $200 million), Work closely with Architects, Engineers, Owners, and Subcontractors to oversee preparation of detailed conceptual cost estimates and conceptual cost studies from schematic or feasibility level documentation until the IFCs by providing accurate actual estimates. Lead development of high-level preconstruction and construction schedules. Lead the preparation and formal presentation of cost / budget information to the Customer / Owner. Oversee preparation of detailed instructions to bidders, make trade-specific clarifications, and create comprehensive bid packages. Negotiate and draft subcontracts and lump sum bidding projects. Review construction contracts and identify potential insurance and damages issues. Lead the team involved in Requests for Proposal Responses (RFPs). Lead and facilitate Value Engineering sessions with the project team and design team. Lead and motivate project teams during the preconstruction phase of a project. Develop business and maintain good relationship with new and existing customers.
Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Minimum education/experience requirements: Masters degree in Civil/Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a commercial construction-related occupation.

Skill Requirements: Position requires at least 1 year of experience in each of the following skills:
- Prepare clear and comprehensive reports and presentations for construction clients using software from the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Create detailed budgets and forecasts for construction projects using Estimating Software like WinEst or Timberline.
- Complete Quantity Takeoff using software such as Construct Connect & On-Screen Take off.
- Optimize constructions project plans through planning, designing, and building, operating BIM Tools like Assemble and Revit.
- Complete construction project tasks, such as project-specific and financial management, using software like CMIC to manage and track projects, costs, and handle contract details.
- Estimate time required for project tasks and align project schedules using Scheduling Software like Primavera.
- Transform raw data into actionable insights through interactive visualizations and robust reporting capabilities using Microsoft Power BI software.
- Create informed cost estimates for construction projects, recommend various construction methods, materials, and practices, leveraging upon knowledge of local, state, and national building codes, regulations, and construction industry standards.
- Negotiate costs and contracts with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors, working with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction project team members.
- Give subcontractor award recommendations to the customer/owner and negotiate and finalize subcontracts with trade partners.
