Key Responsibilities:
Holds, positions, and reads tape measure to layout and assemble product per blueprint specification.
Operate a MIG (Spray Arc) welder in a consistent mode, assuring penetration and quality, while holding to blueprint specification.
Places and moves blocking, braces, jigs and other tools to hold parts. Hammers wedges, pulls pry bar, uses pulleys and other tools to align parts.
Grinds or chips rough edges, surplus weld, slag or scale.
Positions and turns product with clamps, hooks, straps and dawgs. Uses fixtures and tack butt straps or parts for fabrication of product.
Operates air grinders, torches, and overhead cranes (2 lbs 14 lbs.)
Transports and handles materials using the tools, supplies and material handling equipment (overhead crane) in a safe manner.
Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment daily. Performs other routine duties.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, blueprints, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must possess high safety awareness
Good problem solving and communication skills
Basic computer skills
