The Robot Operator will be responsible for the operation of the welding robots.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure weld quality at the assigned robot work center utilizing published THI criteria.
- Ensure that the parts meet the print dimensions before loading into the robot work center.
- Ensure parts and weld joints are cleaned and/or degreased prior to loading into the robot cell.
- Load the robot work center with the correct parts for the job ensuring the orientation and rotation are compliant with the print.
- Call lead man for first part inspections.
- Inspects finished assembly per the assembly control plan to ensure that it meets all print requirements.
- Identifies and segregates non-conforming assemblies and ensures that an NCR is issued.
- Provide suggestions for process and equipment improvements to their lead or foremen who will review and take the appropriate action.

Education/Training/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
Language Ability:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Math Ability:
- Must have basic math skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work Environment:
