Concrete Finisher- Heavy Civil

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Place, spread, and level concrete using hand tools, rakes, and screeds.
  • Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete such as curbs, gutters, sidewalks, bridge decks, and foundations using trowels, floats, and other finishing tools.
  • Operate power tools and equipment such as power trowels and concrete saws.
  • Set forms and ensure proper alignment and elevation for pours.
  • Apply curing and surface treatments to protect finished concrete.
  • Follow project plans, specifications, and directions from supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with crew members and support other trades as needed.

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Concrete Finisher in heavy civil construction (e.g., roads, bridges, or infrastructure).
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in concrete finishing.
  • Ability to read grade stakes and understand elevations.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the San Antonio area.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass any required pre-employment screenings.
