Finish Painter**

**Job Description**

As a Finish Painter, you will follow the manufacturers instructions to mix paint materials to the proper color and consistency. You will prepare surfaces and properly apply paint and other finishes using brushes or power equipment. Additionally, you will label and store paint and chemicals properly, clean and maintain applicators, supplies, and materials, and inspect finished surfaces for proper appearance and use to determine paint build thickness. Daily and weekly tasks will be performed with accuracy and consistency.

**Responsibilities**

+ Mix paint materials according to the manufacturers instructions.

+ Prepare surfaces and apply paint and other finishes using a brush or power equipment.

+ Properly label and store paint and chemicals.

+ Clean, maintain, and store applicators, supplies, and materials.

+ Inspect finished surfaces for proper appearance and determine paint build thickness.

+ Perform daily and weekly TPM tasks with accuracy and consistency.

+ Work a minimum of twenty percent of each week on painting and related duties.

+ Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor within the same salary grade or at a lower grade.

**Essential Skills**

+ Six thousand hours of experience in painting are required.

+ Skill in painting, paint preparation, and industrial painting.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Vocational or high school education or equivalent.

+ On-the-job training to learn trade techniques and procedures.

The pay range for this position is $50419.00 - $63440.00/yr.
