Saw Machine Operator - Forklift

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials and the operation of machinery used in the processing of metal products. This position plays a critical role in ensuring quality and productivity in our daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate saws and other machinery to cut metal to specifications
  
  
• Safely operate forklifts or side loaders to move materials
  
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  
  
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures
  
  
• Work independently while contributing to team goals
  
  
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn—training will be provided
  
  

Preferred Experience (Extra Credit):

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Deburring
  
  
• Packing and Exporting
  
  
• Receiving and Shipping
  
  
• Operating PVC Machines, Chop Saws, Band Saws, Plate Saws, Shear Machines, Waterjets, and Lasers
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
  
  
• Previous experience in machine operation and material handling preferred
  
  
• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
  
  
• strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
  
  
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  
  
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
  
  
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception (with or without corrective lenses)
