Position Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Operations Manager plays a vital role in enhancing operational efficiency, quality, and innovation for our electrical construction projects. This position is responsible for evaluating and optimizing construction processes, especially in relation to off-site fabrication, standardizing best practices, and supporting cross-functional teams, including procurement, Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), and field operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in electrical construction, lean principles, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive scalable and repeatable project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) & Fabrication
- Review electrical features of work to identify opportunities for off-site fabrication.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and VDC teams to develop and validate fabrication strategies.
- Support fabrication teams by introducing and optimizing innovative means and methods.
- Lessons Learned & Counter Measures
- Lead structured lessons learned sessions focused on fabricated work and installation efficiency.
- Analyze lessons learned data to identify trends and root causes.
- Implement and monitor counter measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Standardization & Process Development:
- Assist in the creation and refinement of standard operating procedures, construction means and methods, and fabrication strategies.
- Develop and maintain documentation to ensure consistency and repeatability across projects.
- Facilitate training and change management for the rollout of standardized processes.
- Procurement & Vendor Coordination:
- Collaborate with procurement during proposal development to align project approach with fabrication and installation strategies.
- Coordinate vendor material buyout efforts to ensure compatibility with standardized processes and fabricated components.
- Maintain strong working relationships with vendors to support innovation and cost-effectiveness.
- Support for Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)
- Provide continuous feedback to VDC teams on the constructability and field effectiveness of design outputs.
- Support integration of 3D modeling, BIM, and virtual coordination into construction workflows.
- Promote field adoption and feedback loops to enhance VDC effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent field experience.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction with a strong understanding of fabrication and construction operations.
- Proven track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives in a construction or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of Lean Construction principles, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies (certification preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in construction technology platforms, such as BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks), and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Identify and assist in the pursuit of addition marker fabrication opportunities
- Facilities
- Support the pursuit, design, and development of fabrication facilities
- Assist in the management of populating, commissioning, and relocation fabrication process
- Operate with the objective of servicing as a national provider
Working Conditions:
- Split between office, fabrication shop, and active construction sites.
- Occasional travel to project locations and vendor facilities required.
