The Terracon South Central Region is currently looking to add a Civil or Environmental Project Engineer to the team to work on a variety of projects . Typical project work would include landfill permitting, design, and construction quality assurance, site investigation and remediation , and/or regulatory compliance. Essential Role and Responsibilities:
- Safety is key at Terracon, so well need someone who is dedicated to following our safety policies and practices.
- Make sure that you and your team are producing a quality product for the client by performing quality control checks.
- Manage mid to large-size projects
- Keep your client and manager informed on project status
- Prepare proposals and reports for small and large projects of varying complexity.
- Perform quality control review of proposals written by others.
- Evaluate complex laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
- Serve as a technical adviser to junior-level project team members.
- Interact directly with client and project team on developing scope of services, communicating project progress and findings and recommendations.
- Write and prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services provided, findings, and recommendations.
- Participate in marketing, sales, and business development.
- Supervise graduate, file, and project engineering staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum 5-8 years experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration for Kansas and/or Missouri or ability to obtain PE through reciprocity.
- Understanding of state environmental regulations.
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (Preferred)
- Valid drivers license with acceptable violation history
