- Inspect construction contracts related to current projects to ensure compliance and quality.
- Review contract plans and specifications for constructability, identifying notes, errors, omissions, and potential problem areas.
- Schedule, plan, coordinate, and complete site inspections diligently.
- Coordinate construction-related system outages with client facilities to minimize disruptions.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain a daily tracking report.
- Maintain complete project files, including a project photo file, to document progress and changes.
- Keep detailed records of construction progress, changed conditions, and as-built drawings.
- Prepare monthly estimates of the quantity of construction completed accurately.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, consultants, and owners.
- Mentor and train Junior Construction Inspectors, fostering their professional growth.
- Review operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies, best practices, and performance measures.
- Lead project meetings within your discipline and expertise to drive project success.
- NICET III certification is required.
- EIT preferred.
- 4-7 years of experience in construction inspection and related fields.
- Thorough knowledge of current principles and practices in construction.
- Expertise in resolving crucial issues and unique conditions in construction projects.
- Proficient at managing a large volume of projects or being the in-house expert for a specific market segment.
- Ability to stay informed of new methods and developments affecting the division and recommend new practices or changes in emphasis.
This position requires being on the road and in the field most of the time, offering a dynamic and hands-on work environment.
