BIM Manager

Job Description

The BIM Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization-wide implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related technologies. The role involves setting up drawings, creating reports, and understanding the roles of Spatial Coordination, Content Modeler, and Fabrication Support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage software licenses, including overseeing the installation of new software versions.
  • Implement BIM supporting software across the organization.
  • Research new BIM-related software and keep the organization informed about best practices.
  • Responsible for organization-wide BIM standards, implementation, and enforcement.
  • Identify efficiencies and productivity opportunities in the organization's BIM processes.
  • Provide BIM training internally and manage BIM 360.
  • Meet weekly with project management to discuss project schedules and open items.
  • Regularly attend job sites and fabrication facilities to meet with project field leadership and assist in installation and review of drawings, fabrication, and documents.
  • Drive the prefabrication initiative by collaborating with the Prefabrication Manager to identify opportunities.
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops to transfer knowledge internally within the organization.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit, NavisWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
  • Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong BIM knowledge and interest in working with construction technology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, mechanical design, and piping design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to go out in the field 5% - 10% of the time for local projects.
  • Design, drafting, and HVAC design expertise.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Ames,IA.
