WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of mill or packaging and production machines and other facility equipment.
- Perform welding and fabrication for repairs on designated equipment and facilities.
- Installs, maintains and repairs various electrical control circuits, including single-phase and 3-phase systems.
- Troubleshoots and repairs PLC control production machines.
- Reads and interprets schematics and equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
- Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs of the building's interior and exterior, including minor plumbing, carpentry, interior lighting such as ballasts and lamps, interior fans, etc.
- Performs minor routine maintenance on HVAC (changing air filters, etc.)
- Maintains records to ensure accountability of time, parts, and repairs to meet regulatory compliance and budget constraints.
- Communicates with management and other maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
- Complies with company safety policies and maintains clean and orderly work area and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
- Provide operational support outside of the maintenance role, such as harvest, product loading and unloading, warehouse/utilities duties, and other areas as assigned by the Operations Manager.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
WHAT WE NEED
MUST-HAVES:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Driver's License in good standing.
- Operation of powered industrial equipment.
- Occasional travel to other facilities within the United States.
- Ability to work well with all levels of employees, whether individually or in a team environment.
- Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisory, and management personnel.
- Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
NICE-TO-HAVES:
Formal industrial maintenance training
Maintenance experience in food manufacturing
Two + years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, including mechanical, electrical, and PLC.
