Job Summary:The Engineering/Maintenance team is responsible for opening properties prior to guest arrival, maintenance and repair during the season and closing properties at the end of the season. Historic Preservation Carpenters will perform carpentry assessments, preventative maintenance and repairs/replacements of new and/or existing building systems. Historic Preservation Crafts-persons(s) are responsible for quality craftsmanship work on Historic Buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities
- Performs carpentry assessments, preventative maintenance, repairs and replacements of structural, building envelope, flooring, cabinetry and other wood building systems and components.
- Accountable for proper and accurate documentation of labor & materials for work performed in accordance with established company procedures.
- Provide assistance in the seasonal opening/closing of facilities.
- Responsible for the performance and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance procedures for wooden systems and components.
- Ensures proper work methods and products are used on historic as well as non-historic structures.
- Advise the Location Maintenance Manager on the need for, and prioritizing carpentry related capital improvement projects.
- Responsible for quality craftsmanship work through assigned work orders and tasks assigned while complying with all current and related codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- Aptitude required to complete common carpentry repairs.
- Proficient in the operation and use of common carpentry equipment and tools.
- General knowledge of OSHA requirements and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to read, understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Capable of and willing to advance his or her carpentry knowledge and expertise through on-the-job training and self-study.
- Must be at least 19 years old and have valid driver's license; good driving record required.
Physical Requirements include:
- This position may require the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.
- Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Possess physical stamina to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment.
- Standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, for extended periods of time are required.
