Laser Operator**
**Job Description**
Join a dynamic team as a Laser Operator and be a part of a growing company specializing in machining and metal fabrication. This role involves operating state-of-the-art laser cutting equipment in a fast-paced environment. The position is a six-month contract to hire opportunity, offering a chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a 71,000 square foot facility.
**Responsibilities**
+ Produce parts and tools using a laser, a CNC piece of equipment that makes precision cuts into material.
+ Review blueprints for finished products and make necessary adjustments to machine settings.
+ Ensure machines are set up properly, operating efficiently, and producing high-quality products.
+ Maintain machines at full capacity, stock necessary materials, and perform periodic checks on output.
+ Inspect finished products to ensure they are defect-free and ready for the next production step.
+ Operate flat laser machinery daily to produce parts.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
+ At least 1 year of experience operating a laser machine.
+ Experience with production equipment/machinery for at least 3 years.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Blueprint reading experience.
+ Strong math skills and attention to detail.
+ Experience operating CNC equipment, machine operation, assembly, hand grinder.
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
+ Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
+ Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
+ Ability to analyze blueprints and knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
+ Aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computer skills.

Work in a job shop environment within a spacious 71,000 square foot facility, contributing to projects for the automotive industry and other major companies. Collaborate with welders and engage in setup tasks. The work atmosphere is easy-going yet fast-paced, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, and Saturday from 6 AM to 10 AM as needed. The dress code includes jeans, a shirt, and steel-toed footwear, with uniforms provided upon direct hire.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
