Painter Job Description This position primarily involves working in the paint booth as a powder coater, with additional responsibilities including prepping and quality checking parts. The role requires painting a variety of parts, ranging from small hand-sized items to full-sized trailer beds. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn new techniques and processes, and who prioritize safety in their work. Responsibilities Operate in the paint booth as a powder coater. Assist with prepping and quality checking parts. Powder coat paint various parts, from small items to large trailer beds. Learn and apply new painting techniques and processes. Ensure all work is performed safely. Essential Skills Ability to read blueprints. Proficiency with tape measures. Experience in painting and industrial painting. Skills in paint preparation and using spray guns. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willingness to learn is the most important qualification. Experience in prep work, blasting, powder coating, or pressure cleaning. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a standard metal shop with fabrication on one side of the building and welding/assembly on the other. Paint and blast operations are conducted in a separate building. Employees will be on their feet most of the day, working generally in teams of 2-3 per project. The dress code prefers long sleeves, and uniforms are issued for long-term employees. The role offers flexibility in shifts, with a standard 1st shift from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with the possibility of working additional hours on Fridays. Additionally, there is a 2nd shift available from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, North Dakota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
