Purpose

The Contract Manager serves as a critical support function across both the Commercial Engagement and Program Management teams at PANTHERx Rare. This individual is responsible for managing the lifecycle of manufacturer contracts—from opportunity development through execution and renewal—ensuring that terms align with business strategy, operational capabilities, and partner expectations. The Contract Manager collaborates cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Program Management and Operational teams to shepherd opportunities from finalist selection through executed contract, helping PANTHERx maintain its leadership position in rare disease specialty pharmacy.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and manages the end-to-end contracting process for specialty pharmacy engagements with manufacturer partners.
  • Drafts, reviews, and refines proposals, contract terms, and redlines in collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Finance, BD).
  • Translates business terms into contract language reflecting both the opportunity structure and organizational risk profile.
  • Tracks and manages all contract activity using centralized systems to ensure document version control, transparency, and progress reporting.
  • Maintains templates and supports ongoing development of standardized language and frameworks for new and existing service models.
  • Ensures alignment with internal approval workflows, facilitating timely legal review and executive sign-off.
  • Supports responses to RFIs/RFPs from a contract feasibility and structure perspective.
  • Assists with developing partner-specific term sheets and LOIs, ensuring consistency with financial models and FMV guidelines.
  • Collaborates with the Revenue Operations and Analytics teams to inform pricing, rebates, or milestone-based incentives reflected in contracts.
  • Participates in partner meetings as a subject matter expert on contractual structure and execution timelines.
  • Monitors executed agreements for key renewal dates, exclusivity terms, and obligations; support amendments and extensions as needed.
  • Works alongside Account Managers to translate contractual terms into clear operational expectations during program launches and ongoing execution.
  • Monitors active contracts for renewal dates, exclusivity expirations, performance commitments, and amendment needs.
  • Tracks key contract terms and obligations and support reporting on contract adherence, partner performance, and commercial outcomes.
  • Proactively identifies and escalates contractual risks, misalignments, or ambiguities that may impact program success.
  • Helps prepare documentation and audits materials for business reviews or QBRs when contract performance is discussed.
  • Serves as a connector between Commercial, Program Management, Legal, and Finance to drive accountability and continuity in partner agreements.
  • Supports partner communication efforts by clarifying contractual expectations and ensuring timely delivery of contract deliverables.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement in contract processes, templates, and standard language across business models.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in contract management, sales operations, or business operations within healthcare or life sciences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and support both commercial and program delivery stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and document collaboration tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with reviewing legal language
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturers or specialty pharmacy operations.
  • Familiarity with rare/orphan disease markets, market access models, or commercialization agreements.
  • Knowledge of FMV considerations, distribution models, and patient support program terms.
  • PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification a plus.
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
