Forklift Operator (Day) Job Description We have two openings for a Forklift Operator in our day shift, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This position requires stand-up type forklift experience and is ideal for individuals who can start working with minimal training. The role involves a half-hour lunch break. Responsibilities Perform duties as a freight handler and forklift driver. Unload and load freight from containers and perform quality checks on products. Lift weights ranging from 50 to 75 lbs. regularly and up to 120 lbs. occasionally with assistance. Begin with offloading to understand the supply chain process, which is crucial for covering shortages of freight handlers. Operate stand-up forklifts, with inbound roles divided into 60% on forklift and 40% off forklift tasks. Utilize RF scanners to cross-reference and ensure accuracy. Complete a forklift test prior to the first day of work. Essential Skills Cross Dock Experience in warehousing. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly and occasionally lift 120 lbs. with assistance. Attention to detail, especially with reading numbers. Willingness to unload and load trucks for the entire shift. At least 6 months of 'Stand Up' forklift experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience operating Crown Electric standup loader/cherry picker/stand up reach forklift. Experience with various styles of sit-down forklifts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sumner, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
