Civil CAD Technician - 100% Remote (Eastern Time Zone Preferred)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil CAD Technician to join our team and work on various small to mid-sized civil engineering projects remotely. The primary focus of this role is to create detailed drawings for underground drainage and piping systems, utilizing AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Excel, and an online design tool. This position requires the ability to conceptualize depth in 2D drawings and demands a high level of independence and accountability to ensure accuracy and timely completion of work.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed drawings for underground drainage and piping systems.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Excel, and online design tools.
  • Master drainage and piping products, providing recommendations for their best usage and incorporating them into drawings.
  • Recommend and create more efficient design processes if warranted.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in fast-paced projects.
  • Communicate effectively with internal partners and external clients, stakeholders, etc.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of AutoCAD experience within civil engineering, particularly with underground stormwater drainage layout.
  • Experience in 2D drawing with an understanding of depth.
  • Higher education within CAD or civil engineering preferred.
  • Prior experience with stormwater products.
Work Environment

This is a 100% remote position, allowing flexibility to work from anywhere within the Eastern Time Zone. You will be provided with the necessary equipment to work independently on a majority of projects. The work environment is fast-paced, with multiple smaller projects expected to be completed and submitted daily.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
