Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will assist in overseeing commercial builds, managing timelines, budgets, and crews. Your role involves coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure safety, quality, and compliance across projects such as fire stations, libraries, retail, hospitality, healthcare, multi-family residences, and renovations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing commercial construction projects.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and construction crews.
  • Coordinate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality benchmarks, and compliance regulations.
  • Handle change orders, project coordination, and project engineering tasks.
  • Perform estimation duties as required.
Essential Skills
  • Project management skills.
  • Construction and construction management expertise.
  • Minimum of 6 months of field experience to understand construction processes.
  • Proficiency in change order management, project coordination, and project engineering.
  • Ability to perform project estimation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in management or scheduling on commercial projects valued at $5-20 million.
  • Previous roles as a project manager, assistant project manager, project engineer, or superintendent are preferred.
  • Software experience related to project management.
  • A degree in Construction Management is preferred.

The work environment involves spending 90% of your time in the office, with projects typically located within a 30-minute radius. A company vehicle is provided for visiting job sites. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $39.00/hr.
