Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWho We Want: Frontenac Engineering is looking for a junior level structural engineer to join our residential design team designing structural systems for single family, multi-family, mid-rise buildings. This individual will also work closely with our clients on site, troubleshooting field conditions, and addressing their structural design needs. New team member will report to Residential Market Lead.

Required SkillsWorking knowledge of basic structural design skills with ability to execute structural engineering designs with minimal instruction.Must be self-directed and mentally engaged with ambition for learning.Must be able to competently communicate in person and in writing.Must be able to competently take on multiple small projects and manage them to completion.Must be able to work closely with, creatively contribute to, and take direction from a team of professionals.Working knowledge of building practices and construction assembly.Aptitude for structural design software (e.g. RISA, Tedds, EnerCalc, MathCAD, etc.)Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in civil engineering from a four-year accredited institution.Preferred 2 years' experience within the construction industry.
