Summary: Maintenance Mechanic

General maintenance and repairs of machinery, utility (air, water, steam, electric, gas and waste) systems, and facility grounds by performing the following duties:

Job Duties:

-Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance on all production systems.

-Basic repairs and preventive maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment including, but not limited to power transmission, drives, and general machine systems.

-Performs repairs, maintenance, and assists with installation of machines, using hand and power tools and test equipment to ensure continuous production operations.

-Performs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric, power, gas, or air required for operations.

-Installs, starts up, and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.

-Ability to climb in overhead structures, work on ladders and high lifts, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work. Must be highly safety conscious with knowledge and experience with OSHA regulations.

-Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced food processing/manufacturing environment.

-Basic industrial welding, plumbing, electrical

-Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

-Regular and predictable attendance is required.

-Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

-Repairs or replaces defective parts.

-Lubricates and cleans parts.

-Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

-5+ years experience working in a manufacturing facility

-Understanding of high speed production equipment & facilities equipment

- Ability to utilize the four main principles of troubleshooting i.e., Investigating, Evaluating, Repair and Prevention

- Excellent cognitive skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- Ability to use all shop equipment i.e., welding equipment and cutting tools.

- Experience with preventative maintenance programs pertaining to work orders, inspection routines and requesting parts.

-Willingness to work overtime

Pay Range: $32-36/hour
