JOB OPENING: Estimator
POSITION STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: On-site (non-remote)
EMPLOYEE CLASIFICATION: Administrative
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Pre-Construction Services Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Estimator is responsible for completing estimates for construction projects including design-build, conceptual, negotiated, budgets, and plan/spec projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with Pre-Construction activities, including value engineering, estimating, and cost control.
Help manage and maintain current cost database.
Develop and manage relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other team members while developing schematic proposals, design development proposals, and final estimates.
Assist Operations Manager with establishing new procedures to streamline the estimating process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
CM or Construction Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience; organized; multi-tasker; proven experience; ability to read and interpret construction drawings; good communicator; systematic thinker; strong work ethic; excellent writing skills; demonstrated ability to take leadership role on projects from start to finish; proactive approach to problem resolution and issue management; ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam or equivalent.
