Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Designer with 2-3 years of experience in civil engineering and land development. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of design principles and regulatory requirements, and the ability to support project managers in the design, coordination, and permitting of land development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare site and grading plans, stormwater management designs, and utility layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D

* Assist in preparation and submission of permit applications to local and state agencies, including NJDEP and Soil Conservation Districts (SCD)

* Perform stormwater calculations and modeling using HydroCAD

* Collaborate with team members to develop design solutions that meet client goals, regulatory requirements, and project timelines

* Conduct zoning and municipal ordinance research to support variance applications and planning board submissions

* Coordinate with surveyors, architects, environmental consultants, and other stakeholders

* Support project documentation, reports, and technical presentations

* Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage calculations, schedules, and data analysis

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

* Bachelor"s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

* 2-3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on land development

* Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Microsoft Excel

* Familiarity with NJDEP permitting processes and SCD submission requirements

* Understanding of municipal planning processes and zoning variance procedures

* Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative environment
