Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience) Experience (Training Provided Where Needed): Background in cable product design and manufacturing Familiarity with cable manufacturing equipment: extruders (thermoplastic and thermoset), cablers, braiders, tapers Experience with cable assemblies and production operations: cutting, stripping, tinning, soldering, splicing, connectorization, injection molding Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of wire/cable construction (conductors, plating, stranding, shielding, insulation, jackets) Understanding of cable electrical characteristics: capacitance, resistance, impedance, attenuation, etc. Proficiency in using cable and assembly test equipment (spark tester, TDR, LCR, Cirris, network analyzer, hipot, milliohm meter) Working knowledge of industry standards (UL, CSA, MIL-STD, ASTM, IPC-610/620) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specs and translate requirements Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Key Responsibilities: Design and develop new cable and assembly products and manufacturing processes Support production teams with engineering guidance, instructions, and troubleshooting Create assembly/test instructions, process documentation, and rework procedures Develop and qualify test fixtures to ensure compliance with OEM electrical specs Collaborate with Sales to recommend innovative solutions and increased throughput Assist Quality Control by developing inspection criteria based on customer or industry standards Train manufacturing personnel on new processes and updates Use data analysis to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance Serve as a technical liaison with customer engineering teams during development Travel to customer sites as needed for support and collaboration Be part of a company where your expertise and creativity are valued.
