About the Position
The is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and manage large, complex federal design-build construction programs. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity with growth potential and direct reporting to Executive Leadership.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing federal construction contracts and demonstrate leadership in every phase of project deliveryfrom preconstruction and proposal development through execution, closeout, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of project execution including estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontracting, cost control, and quality/safety compliance.
Lead preconstruction efforts: proposal preparation, bid document coordination, design integration, and strategic procurement.
Direct and coordinate the work of subcontractors, vendors, designers, and internal staff.
Prepare, track, and update cost-loaded CPM schedules.
Submit and manage monthly pay applications, subcontractor billing, and project financial reporting.
Ensure full contract compliance throughout project lifecycle.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
Proactively identify and pursue new project opportunities within existing and potential federal programs.
Maintain responsibility for project P&L, reporting on budget forecasts, and cost analysis.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least 10 years of experience in managing federal design-build construction projects.
One or more of the following certifications/licenses (or an additional 10 years of experience in lieu of certification):
Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Designated Design-Build Professional (DBIA)
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA)
Proven experience with firm-fixed-price federal construction contracts.
Familiarity with federal contract vehicles including GSA, NAVFAC, USACE, WHS.
Strong knowledge of construction documentation including specifications, drawings, schedules, and contracts.
Ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance.
