Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Defense Contract Administrator to manage overhaul quotes, government property reporting, shipping logistics, and customer communications for defense contracts. The ideal candidate has experience with government regulations, excels in multitasking, and possesses strong communication and Excel skills.

Job Description

  • Overhaul quotes Initial review of contract requirements for overhaul. Once asset is received, review of the inspection report for cost calculation estimating labor as well as new cost for scrapped parts.
  • Aftermarket spare parts quotes and order entry for our Distributor Pioneer as well as Navy direct.
  • Order status and official delinquency notifications advising why we are late and recovery dates.
  • Reporting of Government Property From arrival, induction, then shipment
  • Scrap Reporting Once we have shipped an overhaul pump, all parts deemed scrap are reported into a government portal. Reporting includes calculating individual costs for each part as well as researching FSC codes. Once reported and demil codes recd, coordinate with Quality DCMA scheduling for SCRAP witness.
  • Government Transportation Once orders are ready to ship, this role handles all transportation requests through multiple portals for all Government orders. We also enter the Government Receiving Reports into their portal and request approval of reports from DCMA. Once approved, we handle all invoicing
  • Answer Customer technical questions and field calls to Engineering when applicable.
  • RMAs for overhaul, repair or warranty of non-Navy direct customers.
  • Audits for Government Property.
  • Weekly calls with Application Engineer and larger customers.
  • Milestone invoices.

Skills Required

  • Experience of Government contracts and understanding of government requirements and regulations
  • Understanding of government packing/shipping requirements a plus
  • Proficient excel experience
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Detail oriented

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years previous administrative assistant or clerical experience and/or training

Additional Requirements

  • 1st shift schedule

Pay Rate/Salary

  • Base Compensation: $21.29/hour -$31.94/hour (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.)
