Millwright Job Description We are seeking a dedicated maintenance technician to perform 100% mechanical work, focusing on troubleshooting and diagnosing industrial equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of machinery, including industrial cranes, steel slitters, coating machines, and conveyor lines. This role includes working with secondary equipment such as pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, conveyors, pumps, gears, gearboxes, bearings, and cylinders. You will perform preventative maintenance and correct defective mechanical devices by disassembling and installing new parts. The position requires collaboration with engineering, operations, and quality control teams during emergency breakdowns to restore operations. Additional tasks include maintenance on forklifts, machine installation, and reading blueprints. Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in industrial equipment. Maintain and repair industrial cranes, steel slitters, coating machines, and conveyor lines. Responsible for secondary equipment including pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, conveyors, pumps, gears, gearboxes, bearings, and cylinders. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment. Correct defective mechanical devices by disassembling and installing new parts. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality control during emergency breakdowns. Conduct maintenance on forklifts, including wheel changes, greasing parts, and fork adjustments. Read and interpret blueprints. Install or move machines around the plant as needed. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance as a mechanic or machine repair. Ability to mechanically troubleshoot industrial equipment as well as pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, and motors. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. Willingness to work up to 25 feet in the air. Possession of own set of tools. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with welding, including MIG and Stick welding. Knowledge of mechanical installation and industrial maintenance. Proven ability in repair and fabrication. Work Environment Join a union environment with direct hire opportunities. Work on a 2nd shift schedule from 4 PM to 2 AM, with the possibility of working 5 to 6 days a week, 10-hour shifts. Take advantage of overtime pay, with 1.5x after 8 hours daily and on Saturdays, and double time after 12 hours daily and on Sundays.
