Superintendent

Greenland Homes is a100 % Employee Owned residential home builder in the Des Moines area. We have been building homes for the past 17 years and continue to grow every day!

We are in search of a full- time Superintendent. This person will prioritize and perform site duties for the home building process. This is a position where you will be able to use your hands and be physically active daily.

Duties include the following:

• Perform on-site job management for multiple jobs and ensure overall project safety
• Manage projects based on schedules and budget
• Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, Greenland Homes team members, and material suppliers throughout the home building process
• Resolve issues to maintain productivity and relationships
• Ensure quality control and compliance with the project plans and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Establish goals and motivate others to reach those goals

Qualifications:

• Must be able to demonstrate positive, confident, and respectful traits with a team-oriented attitude
• Possess general knowledge of construction and how to use power/hand tools safely
• Have accurate blueprint reading skills
• Possess a current/valid Driver's License
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Be a self-motivator
• 3 or more years of experience as a construction superintendent or foreman (preferred)
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
• Needs to be able to take instruction with minimal follow up
• Excel and thrive in fast-paced environment with tight deadline
