Job Title: Service Estimator
Start Date: Immediately
Salary Range: $32.00-$37.00/Hourly
Position Overview:
The Service Estimator is responsible for accurately calculating the labor, equipment, and material costs for service opportunities. This role involves verifying sales information, negotiating supplier pricing, and maintaining current market data to generate precise estimates and project documents. A key aspect of the position is conducting risk analysis on complex projects and collaborating on operational improvements while ensuring compliance with company processes.
Essential Functions:
- Verify all the information from the sales representative is available for an accurate and timely estimate
- Maintain current market pricing for materials in estimating system
- Negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers on pricing
- Draft and coordinate the compilation of project documents.
- Participate in pre and post bid meetings as necessary
- Network and market company services to existing and potential clients
- Participate in job reviews and operational improvements within the company
- Complete risk analysis on complex projects
- Generate custom job cost reports for tracking and auditing
- Maintain compliance with company processes, contract terms, and project requirements
- Participating in required sector and job meetings
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostics and execute timely repairs for complex equipment malfunctions, ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.
- Accurately assess repair requirements and formulate detailed cost estimates, including labor, parts, and associated expenses, for client review and approval.
- Provide expert technical leadership, independently managing repair projects from inception to completion while upholding the highest standards of service quality.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state laws and company driver policies
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Understanding of OSHA safety requirements and adherence to all work safety protocols
- Computer Proficient in software programs: Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, The EDGE, and Pipedrive
- Knowledge of commercial roofing systems, as well as industry codes and standards
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints, submittals, drawing plans, and product specifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people
- Detail-oriented
- Time Management--great time management; able to prioritize and meet deadlines

Education and Experience:
- 3 years of experience in construction estimating preferred
- 5 years of experience in roofing (prefer experience in code enforcement and building system inspections)
- Continuing industry education as relevant to estimating job duties (even after hire)
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test program
- Primarily Indoor work environment
- Ability to work at high elevations
- Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, crouching
- Overtime and weekend work
