Average Starting Pay Range $25.00 - $35.00/hour

Day Shift Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

PTO upon hire, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits are offered after 90 days of employment, 401K after 6 months

Overview: As an electrician for Merrill: A Keel Company, you will be responsible for wiring panels on CNC machines and other equipment, assembling electrical components within control panels, and ensuring successful power-on and debug after completion of tasks. On the job training will be provided as needed for various types of specialized machinery.

Job Functions:

  • Review prints for controls.
  • Order electrical components as needed.
  • Set up and prepare control panels for assembly.
  • Assembled control panels (j-boxes, main enclosures, etc.) according to technical drawings.
  • Connect and wire panels to machines and perform power-on and start-up.
  • Perform service activity if assigned.

Physical Demands: Light to medium lifting between 25 and 40 lbs. Will require long periods of standing with bending, twisting, and reaching as required.

Work Environment: Job shop manufacturing floor environment. As such, exposure to oil, dirt, debris, fumes moving machinery and equipment, and occasional high decibels are typical. Shop floor is climate controlled. Due to the nature of the job, exposure to high voltage electricity and heat is possible. PPE is required at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent training/experience in the industry with evidence of proficiency.
  • Five (5) years experience in electrical and/or machine tool industry.
  • Must be able to work independently or part of a team.
  • Ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated, industrious individual.
