Key Areas of Focus1.Site Design & Layout oGrading, drainage, utility layout, and stormwater management oApplying civil engineering principles to develop comprehensive site plansLeading the design process2.Regulatory Compliance oEnsuring designs meet local, state, and federal codes oSupporting permitting processes and coordinating with agencies (especially in California)3.Project Management oDeveloping schedules, budgets, and tracking milestones oCoordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders4.Client Interaction oUnderstanding client goals and providing updates oAddressing concerns and ensuring satisfactionoAnswering echnical questions in meetingsoLeading internal meetings to discuss and provide guidance on plan deliverables5.Technical Documentation & QA/QC oProducing and reviewing design plans, calculations, and reports oImplementing quality control measures throughout the design process________________________________________ Daily ResponsibilitiesDrafting and refining site plans using Civil 3D and AutoCAD Performing calculations for grading, stormwater, and utilities Reviewing and redlining plans for accuracy and compliance Communicating with clients and regulatory agencies Answering technical questions in meetings.Lead internal meetings to discuss with team members and provide guidance on plan deliverablesCollaborating with drafters, junior engineers, and project managers Participating in internal design reviews and QA/QC checks Preparing documentation for submittals and permits Mentoring junior staff (for PE-level engineers) Attending team meetings and coordinating across disciplines

Additional Skills & Qualifications
This role requires a strong foundation in civil engineering with a focus on land development.
