Job Description
Oversee full-cycle civil engineering work for land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layouts
Guide permitting processes and lead coordination with regulatory agencies
Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables from planning to construction
Conduct hydrologic and site assessments and prepare reports and engineering documents
Collaborate with architects, surveyors, planners, and contractors to ensure smooth execution
Represent the company with clients and help grow existing accounts
Provide construction-phase support and review contractor submittals
Mentor and lead junior engineers and design staff
Qualifications:
7-10+ years of experience in land development engineering (California experience strongly preferred)
PE license in California (or ability to obtain in a reasonable timeframe)
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and hydrologic modeling
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant design tools (e.g., HydroCAD)
Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and client-facing work
Ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-disciplinary teams
Valid CA driver's license
