Refrigeration Technician - 2nd Shift A food and beverage company is looking for a skilled Refrigeration Technician in the Suwanee, GA area to join our prepared foods production facility. Shift of the Refrigeration Technician: 2nd Shift 3PM -11:30 PM Pay Rate/Salary of the Refrigeration Technician: $30-$45/hr Responsibilities of the Refrigeration Technician: Operate & monitor ammonia refrigeration systems to maintain optimal temperatures in production, processing, and storage areas. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance , including oil changes, valve calibration, leak detection, and filter replacements. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components including motors, VFDs, PLCs, and control systems. Safely handle ammonia and perform system isolation, emergency response, and alarm responses per plant protocols. Maintain detailed documentation using CMMS and regulatory systems to ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications of the Refrigeration Technician: High school diploma or GED required; technical school or HVAC/refrigeration training preferred. 2-5+ years of experience maintaining ammonia refrigeration systems in food processing or industrial environments. EPA Section 608 certification is required; RETA certifications are highly preferred. Strong working knowledge of ammonia systems, VFDs, PLCs, and control systems.
