Position Summary:

Semper Solaris is looking for an organized and motivated Solar Electrician for our Solar Operations department. The Solar Electrician will perform a wide variety of electrical operations duties. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and a team player. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and a genuine care to his/her craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

Perform main service panel upgrades ranging from 125A to 225A. Overhead and underground.

Ensure proper job documentation is completed at the completion of each job

Install batteries - including industry leader brands like Tesla

Basic stucco removal and main service panel weatherproofing as required to prep for and pass rough inspections

Tie in Solar installation to main service panels

Identify and/or establish grounding

Configure electrical wiring of the solar system (AC and DC)

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum 3 years of experience in residential electrical.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in disconnect/reconnect of main service panels

Minimum of 2 years of experience in panel upgrades

Previous experience installing batteries

Knowledge of solar industry and NEC codes

Ability to work independently and with minimal direction/oversight

Knowledge of the do's and don'ts of complete solar install

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Must have a valid CA driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

Journeyman or electrical certification

Previous experience installing photovoltaic systems preferred

Strong attention to detail a must

Good problem-solving skills

Ability to prioritize work and work under sensitive time restraints

Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills

Pay Rate: $40/hr. DOE

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time

Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone

Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
