Ensure electrical systems are installed, repaired, and maintained safely and to code. Ensure production downtime due to electrical breakdowns are minimized. Ensure equipment changes are made in a quick and efficient manner. Actively participate in developing maintenance goals and priorities and participate in these goals achievements with your supervisors and peers. Build and maintain efficiency into our equipment through taking direct responsibility of implementing our maintenance programs Supervise and review the work of your team for completeness and accuracy, proper work methods and compliance with codes, policies and practices of COS Georgia Canning. Comply with Company policies and safety procedures.
B. SPECIFIC TASKS:
1. Receive supervision and guidance primarily from your manager.
2. Lead and assume responsibility for electrical systems maintenance operations during your shift and to carry out assigned tasks to proper completion by ensuring that all manufacturing equipment under our care are set up and tested ready for operation before each production shift.
3. Ensure all Pre-Startup and mandatory paperwork for each shift is completed and filed as required.
4. Inspect and test completed jobs for compliance to relevant codes and Plant Safety standards.
5. Communicate effectively with maintenance and production supervisors and other shift leaders/supervisors on current status of various job assignments.
6. Support the production team to hit the productivity and quality goals per shift.
7. Ensure that all policies concerning equipment is being followed including but not limited to specifications, inspections and measurements done properly and within the required time frame.
8. Ensure tooling is regularly calibrated, serviced and records kept.
9. Make random visual inspection of equipment to ensure no physical defects are going undetected.
10. Review daily all equipment records; note any measurements out of specification and write the corresponding corrective action.
11. Ensure all equipment records are recorded and filed as per our SOP and FDA requirements and made accessible for inspections as required.
12. Coordinate your team and your own break and lunch times as so to maintain floor presence in your place of work.
13. Ensure that all repair work is followed through with the production supervisor to make sure they are satisfied.
14. Support the maintenance manager in the work planning, scheduling and execution, including parts and materials inventory management and labor time estimates.
15. Assist implementing all maintenance connection requirements for your team, by reviewing and assisting in ensuring scheduled PM work, service and requested work orders are completed including the stock parts usage.
16. Ensure all the planned preventive maintenance activities are completed on time. 17. Identify any hazardous situations, fix them if possible and or report them to the department manager.
18. To be an extension of maintenance management by ensuring that the proper work activities are being followed and maintenance personnel are being utilized efficiently. 19. Train other maintenance personnel, being a mentor for the electrician trainees and assist the maintenance manager in the training and professional development of electrician trainees and other personnel.
20. Actively participate in process improvement activities, assist the continuous improvement manager in special projects.
