About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a dynamic and growing heavy civil construction team. This role is perfect for a professional with a strong background in estimating projects involving site development, underground utilities, boring, horizontal drilling, dewatering systems, and deep foundations.

The ideal candidate will also have a passion for leveraging construction technology and play a key role in implementing software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate cost estimates for projects focused on boring, horizontal drilling, and other heavy civil construction scopes.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and scopes to ensure comprehensive estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to define project budgets and assess risks.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Lead efforts to research and recommend new construction software and technologies.
  • Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market conditions.
  • Mentor and support junior estimating staff.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 7 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Proven expertise in site, utilities, and horizontal drilling is essential.
  • Familiarity with earth retention, pile driving, and dewatering systems.
  • Proficient in construction estimating software and knowledgeable about emerging technology trends in construction.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
