Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) with 5-10 years of experience in electrical design across various projects. The ideal candidate will be registered with NCEES, capable of stamping electrical drawings. This role involves site visits for select projects and collaboration on high-profile work. We do a lot of industrial work, as well as work for ORNL.
Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical systems, including medium/low voltage power, lighting, and life safety systems.
Perform power/load studies, fault current analysis, coordination studies, and power factor correction.
Prepare and stamp electrical drawings and specifications.
Conduct site visits to support project implementation, equipment check-out, and startup.
Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, local codes, and safety standards.
Provide expertise in control circuiting, panel design, process control, and emergency power systems.
Support arc flash compliance reports and lightning protection/grounding designs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, registered with NCEES.
5-10 years of experience in electrical design for industrial, government, energy, commercial, or educational projects.
Ability to stamp electrical drawings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, and other relevant codes.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
