Overview & Responsibilities Job Summary:

Elliott is looking for a self-driven high caliber Project Manager to join our talented team in Edmonton. This role will offer a good blend of technical and commercial aftermarket repair experience with a well-known market leader turbomachinery manufacturer. You will actively collaborate with Elliott internal teams, customers and also vendors to develop aftermarket repair solutions- right from defining work scope, writing repair proposals to execution, and to final project close out. Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sales team, customer contacts and other internal Stakeholders to gather scope, quality, time, and cost requirements and expectations for the project.

  • Support sales team in technical and commercial evaluation of bids along with preparation and submission.

  • Determine resource requirements like manpower, equipment and material for the proposed scope.

  • Check purchase orders for accuracy based on Elliott Protocol in place and book them in a timely fashion.

  • Prepare work scope for the shop team based on the technical and commercial requirements of proposal and the PO.

  • Collaboration with Elliott Engineering, Parts Dept. and Vendors may be required.

  • Develop, Monitor and Control- Project cost estimates, ITP, Gantt chart etc. for projects as required.

  • Support management team with weekly project updates so accurate business forecasts can be made.

  • Own and Maintain communications on all orders, including formal written communications, schedule and direct customer meetings, hold review meetings with shop personnel with regards to order status, and maintain communication with sales and management.

  • Analyze inspection findings and prepare inspection reports and repair quotes for customer.

  • Prepare final job reports after completion of all repairs for internal records and customer submission.

  • Create and Maintain job folders for the entire lifecycle of the project.

  • File them correctly once project is closed out.

  • Support accounts receivables team in timely close out of the project so jobs can be invoiced.

  • Respond or appropriately direct customer inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Support BU team to maintain Profitability, Quality and Safety goals.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering- Mechanical preferred. An equivalent of education and experience may be considered.

  • Minimum 4-year experience in Rotating Equipment (Turbine, Compressor, Pumps, Motors etc.) repairs

  • Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and P&IDs.

  • Have a sound understanding GD&T Experience in Project Management and Customer facing experience.

  • Experience in Repairs and Manufacturing environment required.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Well organized and exceptional time management skills to tackle multiple priorities.

  • Understanding of project management principles

  • Computer savvy and knowledge of project management software will be an asset.

  • Self-Motivated with ability to handle difficult situations and demanding deadlines.

  • Alberta P. Eng registered or in process to be registered will be considered an asset.

  • PMP certification preferred.

  • Experience of using CAD software would be an asset.

  • Willing to work overtime, nights & weekends may be required.

  • 25% domestic and international business travel may be required.
