Machine Builder**

**Job Description**

As a Machine Builder, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical assemblies ranging from simple to complex according to specifications. You will interpret blueprints and drawings, follow manufacturing processes and procedures, and ensure the proper tooling and equipment are used for each operation. Additionally, you will inspect parts using appropriate measuring tools and be involved in the teardown and crating of equipment for shipment. Operating a tow motor and overhead crane is also part of your duties.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assemble mechanical assemblies per specification by interpreting blueprints and drawings.

+ Identify and utilize proper tooling and equipment for assigned operations.

+ Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.

+ Teardown and crate equipment for shipment.

+ Operate tow motor and overhead crane.

**Essential Skills**

+ Strong mechanical experience in machine building.

+ Ability to read, visualize, and follow drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools, power equipment, and simple cutting tools.

+ Ability to accurately read measuring instruments such as calipers, tapes, and gauges.

+ Capability to prioritize multiple projects.

**Work Environment**

You will work the 1st shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. The facility features historic machinery, and interactions may involve heat, noise, debris, overhead cranes, and other potentially dangerous equipment. The company is well-established, having been founded in 1983, and is known for its expertise in mechanical design across various industries. The work environment is dynamic, with a focus on designing and manufacturing mechanical equipment to solve diverse manufacturing problems.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
