Field Service Lead Electrical Technician Job Description Join a leading manufacturer of custom-engineered electrical gear for the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors as a Field Service Lead. This role involves traveling across the country to client sites to perform field installations, troubleshoot, and commission equipment. You will also play a key role in teaching, training, and mentoring lower-level technicians, while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. Must Haves 10-15 years of industrial electrical experience. Proven leadership and mentoring experience. Field service experience. Ability to independently install and terminate control panels, MCCs, breakers, transformers, and complex power systems. Experience testing using multimeters, megohmmeters, and phase testers. Proficiency in reading schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring layouts. Willingness and ability to travel nationwide. TWIC Card. Responsibilities Travel nationwide to client sites for field installations, troubleshooting, and equipment commissioning. Teach, train, and mentor lower-level technicians. Read schematics and scopes of work to install and terminate control panels, breakers, power systems, transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), and switch gears. Work with clients to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Complete safety assessments, field reports, and testing results. Coordinate with shop and engineering teams to communicate issues. Why Work Here? Safety gear including steel-toed boots, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses is required. Work typically follows a day shift, Monday to Friday, with varying hours based on client needs. Weekend work may be required, especially when traveling. Hotel accommodations and a $150/day per diem are provided for travel. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, Texas. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
