General Summary:
Under the direction of the Production Manager the Repair Crew Supervisor performs administrative, supervisory and hands-on work and directs SP repair crew in the plant. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring all repairs are performed up to code and company standards. Also responsible for training and coaching subordinate team as well as committed to safety, and supports corporate mandate as required and assigned. The Repair Crew Supervisor will commit to departmental safety goals, environmental ISO-14001 compliance and other assignments to run the packing department with accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Functions:
- Supervises train, coach, evaluate and schedule repair crew for all necessities through the plant as needed.
- Act as a liaison between management and other departments to ensure proper process
- Ensure proper repair of plant building, structure, design, troubleshoot, landscape, office, bathroom and other area maintenance as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining the area around and inside the flour silos and other areas.
- Maintains the trash and bi-product silos area.
- Responsible for special projects including repair work on roofs, buildings, parking lot, fences, equipment and other plant structures.
- Responsible for cleaning the roof areas of the mill tower.
- Performs corrective maintenance of sifters in the Mill area.
- Special clean-up duties for internal and external inspections and visits.
- Ensure and set example in attendance, ISO 14001, safety enforcement and PPE.
- Fills in for Mill/Packing Supervisors supplement as needed
- Inspect all sleeves and socks in Mill area and other areas as it may become necessary
- Ensure all requirements and SOPs are established or followed with ISO 14001 compliance in mind
- Drive SAP data efficiently as required by the job.
- Additional duties may be assigned and requested by local management
Essential Duties and Commitments:
- Ensures building repairs are done continuously, accurately and efficiently
- Creates SOPs as needed for special projects with safety in mind
- Enforces company policies and procedures by corporate mandate
- Ensures plant is kept clean and visibly free of building deterioration
- Performs additional duties in relation to corn local and as required
- The Repair Crew Supervisor is responsible to ensure that any injured employee receives prompt first aid and that such injuries are reported to management.
- The Repair Crew Supervisor has the responsibility to investigate all employee accidents, of those employees working under the supervisor.
- The Repair Crew Supervisor has the duty and responsibility to make certain that employees are properly trained in their assigned work task, that the employee is aware of hazards associated with the task, and that unsafe conditions and acts are not allowed to exist or continue.
Qualifications and Education Requirement:
- Hight School Diploma, college degree preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Supervisor Training, HACCP, GMPs, HVAC.
- Good communication skills
- 2 years of experience in Mill operations
- Fluent in SAP and MS Excel, Word, Etc.
- Supervisory experience preferred
- 5 years of experience in construction, productions or food manufacturing indrustries, preferable not required
