Job Overview:

The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for concrete scopes of work, including foundations, slabs, walls, and site concrete. This position requires strong industry knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously. The role is strictly office-based, with no remote work option, and may include some travel. Candidates must be local to the NY/NJ/CT area and familiar with the commercial construction market.

Responsibilities:

• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes.
• Develop and present detailed proposals and budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure estimates align with field practices.
• Track market trends, material pricing, and labor costs.
• Participate in bid reviews and client presentations as needed.
• Maintain organized estimate files and historical data for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in concrete estimating (commercial or industrial).
• Strong knowledge of concrete materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Proficient in estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar tools.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent math, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred (not required).
• Experience with Procore and prior work with firms such as Turner, Gilbane, Whiting-Turner, or Consigli is a significant plus.

Pay Range: $150,000 - $190,000

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
