Job Description

Qualifications & Skills:

1-2 years of experience in electrical work (residential or commercial).

Basic understanding of electrical theory, wire ampacities, and control systems.

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical layout drawings.

Strong familiarity with hand and power tools used in electrical assembly.

Competence in identifying wire gauges and color codes.

Effective communicator and team player with a desire to learn and grow.

Willingness to undergo additional training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Summary:

The Level 2 Electrical Assembler is a hands-on role responsible for performing electrical assembly and fabrication of industrial control panels, enclosures, and related systems. This position is ideal for individuals with limited control wiring experience but who demonstrate proficiency in residential electrical work, have a strong mechanical aptitude, and are motivated to grow their electrical knowledge. The role requires basic drawing interpretation, use of electrical and mechanical tools, and the ability to follow safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and wire control panel backplates, enclosure doors, and complete control systems under guidance with minimal supervision.

Read and interpret basic electrical and mechanical drawings with minimal assistance.

Identify and install electrical components, wire gauges, wire colors, and hardware according to design specifications.

Apply all types of wire labels and device tags accurately.

Operate fabrication shop power tools (e.g., drills, saws, grinders) safely and effectively.

Use measuring tools (metric and standard tape measures, calipers, etc.) accurately.

Recognize wiring or schematic errors and report issues to engineers for correction.

Understand and distinguish materials such as stainless steel vs. painted steel, and select appropriate tools accordingly.

Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements (OSHA, ISO 9001, etc.).

Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform all tasks with attention to quality and detail.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Standing, bending, and working on assemblies for extended periods.

Manual dexterity to handle small parts and tools.
