The Site Manager position provides overall administrative and technical management for all lines of Turner business at the refinery. This is a long-term nested position. The site manager is the single point of contact with the owner for all Turner work. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Project Manager; Work scopes include routine maintenance, supplemental maintenance, tanks, capital projects and turnarounds. Essential Qualifications: High school or equivalent Minimum of eight (8) years construction management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods) Advanced knowledge of jobsite crafts and ability to advise more efficient methods of productivity Able to inspire employees to constant improvement while administering accountability Excellent mentoring skills Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace Functional Requirements: Oversee jobsite to ensure work is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule; works in alliance with Project Manager; also includes interfacing with client representatives, subcontractors, security, etc.; ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc. are adhered to; interpret policies as required, update and revise site specific policies and procedures as needed with Project Manager and client approvals; provide leadership to cultivate a culture of excellence in safety across the jobsite; plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (planning, scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc.); supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract; provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required; initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders; assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance; assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction Compensation Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
