Drilling Laborer Level I responsibilities and abilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties
- Assist in mixing chemicals to make drilling slurry.
- Assemble, disassemble, and operate crane and drill rig.
- Change out drilling tools.
- Shovel work.
- Connect, disconnect, and lay out slurry hoses.
- Secure rebar in drill shaft.
- Clean off the top of the drill shaft when pouring concrete is complete.
- Clean work areas, tools, equipment, materials, etc.
- Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies.
- Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel, using pick, rake, and shovel.
- Transfer from job to job as projects progress and work is available.
- Work with other workers in a cooperative manner.
- Perform general labor work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 0-1 year of construction work experience.
- Reliable transportation to work.
- Ability to work safely.
- Ability to carry 70 lbs. or more.
- High School diploma/GED preferred.
- Willingness to perform general laborer work (e.g. sweeping, cleaning up job sites, running errands, using a hammer and saw, digging trenches, etc.).
- Willingness to travel depending on business necessity.
- Flexible availability to work overtime and weekends.
