916 Ink Community Liaison/ Book Builder VISTA
Support the development of community partnerships, engage parents for ongoing student success, and perform marketing duties associated with community outreach and connecting students and families to services via in-person events and social media campaigns. This will have an immediate and profound impact on the students and the communities they reside in. The VISTA will learn and use best practices for developing meaningful social media campaigns, and directly engage community members and partners through in person events. VISTA will also be a member of the student publication team, providing valuable coordination and support to ensure that all elements of student publication are carried out to a high standard. Member Duties : Build and support the community profile of 916 Ink by promoting programs to the community at large. Identify and execute best practices for donor management. Research and support the adoption of strategies for donor satisfaction, engagement, and appreciation. Research, propose, and implement strategies to increase donor retention. Build, monitor, and support the production of anthologies from Find Your Voice Creative Writing Workshops and events celebrating their release. Communicate with workshop facilitators and volunteers regarding manuscript progress. Edit and format completed manuscripts following 916 Ink Style Guide to prepare for design. Refine and document editing and formatting procedures based on the 916 Ink Style Guide to ensure consistent quality and ease of training for volunteers. Develop communication systems and outreach materials to streamline how information about book release events is shared with families, program participants, and other stakeholders.
