HQF West Zone Refrigeration Tech

The purpose of this position is to "seek to bring forth and establish the cause of Zion."

This senior support role performs preventive maintenance and repair work on refrigeration/heating systems, both commercial and residential.

Pay rate for this position is: $33.00 - $38.00/hr depending on experience and training.

• Maintains residential air conditioning and heating, light and heavy commercial refrigeration air conditioning and heating equipment, as well as industrial refrigeration equipment including ammonia systems.
• Installs, removes, replaces, and relocates equipment as needed in a timely manner.
• Participates in small and large projects by installing, removing, replacing, and relocating equipment as assigned.
• Maintains building automation for VRF Systems.
• Instructs and directs Refrigeration Technician Apprentices as needed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by Management.

Required:

• Significant professional knowledge and expertise found in someone with 6 years professional experience (at least 2 years post journeyman level).
• EPA Universal 608 HVAC Certification
• RMGA Certification
• Must have a thorough understanding of HVACR controls
• May be required to become DOT certified.
• Must pass all required safety and equipment certifications and trainings.
• Must be able to work in a professional manner with others as well as alone without constant supervision.
• Must have a positive attitude with the ability to work as a team.
• Must be able to Speak and understand English for general communication.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, push, and pull for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to independently lift and position objects weighing as much as 50 pounds. Must be able

to team lift and position objects weighing as much as 100 pounds on an occasional basis.

• Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical lifts for extended periods of time.
• Must have at least 20/40 vision with or without corrective lenses and not less than 120 degrees combined horizontal peripheral vision.

Preferred:

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with residential air conditioning and heating, light and heavy commercial refrigeration air conditioning and heating equipment, as well as industrial refrigeration equipment (ammonia systems).
• Experience in the maintaining and troubleshooting of VRF refrigeration systems
